dESCRIPTION
Exposure is a practical and essential tool for any colourist’s toolkit. While the underlying maths is standard—converting to linear, applying a gain adjustment, then converting back into DaVinci Intermediate (as done by native tools like the global HDR wheel)—this tool adds helpful extras. It includes temperature and tint controls based on the same linear gain logic, overlay curves for better visual understanding of your adjustments, and an exposure heat map: a custom false colour overlay that breaks the image into colour-coded luminance zones, offering a fast and intuitive read on your exposure.
Exposure combines precise, photometric control with visual tools that help you understand and evaluate every adjustment.

Photometric Exposure
Photometric Exposure replicates the way a physical aperture affects exposure by transforming the incoming log signal into linear and applying gain adjustments in stops — giving you accurate, photometric exposure control directly in post-production.
Heatmap Display
Heatmap Display converts your image into an abstract visualisation of exposure zones, making it easy to spot areas that are correctly exposed, overexposed, or underexposed.
